Strategic decision delivers internal and external synergies


Kaiserslautern/Mainz-Kastel (Germany), 19th September 2011. Effective as of 1st October 2011, the ProcurementServer2011 business division of Healy Hudson GmbH in Mainz-Kastel belongs to veenion GmbH in Kaiserslautern. This means that veenion GmbH, which was founded in July 2010, will be increasing its turnover to over €3 million, with a workforce of 30 employees.

“The incorporation of ProcurementServer2011 into veenion GmbH was a necessary strategic decision”, says Dieter Jagodzinska, CEO of veenion GmbH. “It marks an even stronger internal focus on our core business. But it will be noted most of all by our customers, with important synergy effects on our sales and services. In order to achieve these goals, the former unit head of Healy Hudson GmbH, Manuel Delvo, will be reinforcing the management team at veenion.” While Healy Hudson will be concentrating exclusively on e-sourcing in Germany in the future, veenion will be using ProcurementServer2011 to develop new products, which are to be marketed under veenion’s umbrella designation “impact ordering”.

The incorporation of ProcurementServer2011 also widens the customer base of veenion GmbH. Along with existing customers of veenion, such as Sparkassen Einkaufsgesellschaft (the procurement organisation of the German savings banks), Deutsche Sparkassenverlag (the German savings banks’ publishing organisation) and the Austrian federal government procurement organisation, the client base will now include such reputable organisations as Munich Airport Authority, the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the Schlecker Company. “It is important for us to be able to continue developing sets of bundled products, in order to meet the future needs of European markets”, says Manuel Delvo.

The product range offered by ProcurementServer2011 includes standardised procurement-systems above all. With this concentration on “Software as a Service” (SaaS), ProcurementServer2011 provides an ideal way of increasing the software portfolio of veenion GmbH.
